Brevity ain’t easy!

An upcoming promotion in Publishers Weekly for my debut novel, Half of Faith, required a summary in 185 characters or less. It reminded me of a scene from one of my favorite movies, A River Runs Through It. The Reverend Maclean is homeschooling his oldest son. Each time Norman brings a writing assignment, his father corrects it and says, “Again. Half as long.” So, with the admonition to be thrifty with my words – something that is admittedly hard for me – here it is.

Fueled by religious fervor, personal revenge, and moral obligation, three men’s battle over a kidnapped former US president will change the course of two nations and perhaps the world.

And I even had one character to spare!

Thanks for reading!
